About Mega Man 9...Well... I know many people are excited for it, but I'm not. At FIRST I was, but now... I'm kinda more worried then anything.
First off, I'm worried how the characters are gonna turn out. Like if there's this "Splash Woman" like people say, Capcom might make the Robot Masters a bunch of perverts going "OMG A FEMALE!!1!11" And seriously, they just decide to put in a female, besides Roll and Plum, NOW? Well, I can understand, since Mega Man was meant to be a BOY'S game, until they realized girls liked Mega Man too. :facepalm:
Another thing, I'm worried how this new game will affect the fandom. Like, if for example, they made this Splash Woman and Mega Man fall in love with each other, or another example Roll falling for one of the new Robot Masters, there will be hell.

But about the new Robot Masters... I'm just so used to the usual ones already.
Think about it: Over the past few years, Capcom has been (quote from Jecht-Striker) incapable of creating good games.
Also, if Proto Man appears to help Mega Man YET AGAIN, fans will demote him to Mega Man's "side-kick" much like with Sonic and Knuckles.
Honestly, I just pray it'll be just like the old Mega Man games: Intro in the beginning, fight the Robot Masters without ANY talking, then fight Dr. Wily and lastly, end credits.
AND I'M NOT FEELING SENTIMENTAL TODAY DAMNIT.

'n if not that, there's the same thing the opposite gender about. And fandoms always gets corrupt. Mostly on the Fan-character side, there you can see the worst possible kind of corruption: Fancharacters that got intimate or close relations too official characters. And that's the worst kind. I should know, used too be the Global Moderator of a fan-character forum in the past!
And, it's Murphy's Law: If it can get worse, it will get worse. So prepare for the worse, and never forget your own fandom.

...And yet, that's half of the fun of it. Part of being part of the fandom is interpreting and speculating ideas from what you understand and what evidence there is. Even if all evidence points to the idea "yes, these two are a couple," it doesn't mean you have to listen to it. :3 Like... although SilverXBlaze (lol Sonic fandom) has plenty of in-game evidence, its a couple that I personally don't like, but the possibility of it being there is... interesting, at the least.
...Buuuuuut there are too many absent minded morons running around who just like to flame couples for the hell of it. Hetero or homo couples, there's always someone who's gonna be totally for an absurd pairing and there's always gonna be somebody totally against it.
As for the game itself... I might look into it or even get it. I need a shiny new fandom to follow, and a friend tells me that this one kicks ass. :3
